Coates village sits just outside Cirencester, on the edge of the Bathhurst Estate which owns much of the land in and around the village. Coates might be small, its population number of a few hundred has remained unchanged for hundred of years, but it has a fascinating history and there is plenty going on.

This is intended as a guide for both residents and visitors. If you are a newcomer to the village or just passing through, we hope your stay is a happy one.
